Head-Up Displays for Work Trucks and Commercial Vehicles

Work trucks and commercial vehicles put a head-up display to work harder than any commuter car.
You’re hauling loads, watching mirrors, and navigating job sites — the last thing you need is to
glance down at a cramped gauge cluster. A head-up display for your work truck
keeps speed, engine health and directions in your windshield, where your eyes already are.

Top work truck HUD feature: Coolant temperature monitoring. Towing and hauling
puts extra load on your engine — catching an overheating engine on the windshield before the
dashboard warning light fires can save a breakdown.

OBD2 Pro — The Work Truck Standard (~$69)

Speed, RPM, coolant temperature and battery voltage on a 5.5-inch windshield projection — all
from the OBD2 port that every US truck built since 1996 has under the dash. No permanent
installation, no wiring, no tool kit. Works on F-150, Silverado, Ram, Tacoma and most commercial
vans out of the box.

RoadView Max — For Job-Site Navigation (~$249)

If your routes change daily — deliveries, service calls, construction sites — the RoadView Max
adds turn-by-turn navigation from your phone to the windshield. No more mounting your phone where
it blocks your sight line through a wide truck windshield.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does an OBD2 HUD work while towing?

Yes. The OBD2 port reads live engine data regardless of towing load. Coolant temp and RPM
monitoring are particularly useful when towing because these are the first metrics to indicate
the engine is being worked hard.

Will it work on diesel work trucks?

OBD2 HUDs work on petrol and diesel vehicles. Diesel OBD2 data may show slightly different
parameters depending on the manufacturer’s ECU — speed, RPM and coolant temp are universal.

Where is the OBD2 port on a Ford F-150 / Chevy Silverado?

In most full-size US trucks it is beneath the driver-side dashboard, left of the steering
column, within reach without a flashlight. Takes about 10 seconds to locate.
