Yes, almost every current Lexus offers a head-up display, usually as an option or on upper grades. The main exceptions in the US are the IS sedan and the older GX 460. Lexus has offered HUDs since the GS and the 2010 RX. Below is each model, the years it had a HUD, and how the controls differ by generation.

Based on Lexus US owner’s manuals (“Head-up display (if equipped)” sections) and Lexus press material, checked October 2026. “If equipped” means it depends on grade and packages. UK and Australian equipment can differ. See also every 2026 car with a factory HUD.
How to switch the Lexus HUD on
- RX (2023+), NX (2022+), GX 550: on the centre display, select the settings icon > Vehicle customize > Head up display for on/off, display mode, height, brightness and angle. These can also be assigned to a steering-wheel favourite switch.
- ES, UX, LS, RX (2016–2022): press the HUD switch; other settings are in the multi-information display.
- GS, older NX and RX (2010–2015): the HUD button cycles off, on in mph, on in km/h, and off again. If it suddenly shows km/h, keep pressing until it turns off and press once more.
Lexus manuals note the HUD can look dark through polarized sunglasses, works only with the car fully ON, and stays off after a restart if you switched it off. On the 2023+ RX it also recalls settings for the driver it recognises (key, phone or face). Full troubleshooting: Toyota and Lexus HUD not working.
No HUD on your Lexus? Add-on options
- Gas Lexus models from 2007 on (for example a gas IS or GX 460): the wiiyii P6 adds RPM, coolant temperature and voltage. Its listing excludes hybrids and diesels.
- Lexus hybrids (h models) and the RZ: use a GPS unit such as the KUOWEIHUD K1.
- Navigation in your sight line: the VIVIHUD V5 shows wireless CarPlay or Android Auto directions in any Lexus. It shows no engine data.
An aftermarket unit sits on the dash rather than projecting through the windshield like the factory system; see factory vs aftermarket HUD.
